Who We Are

Lynq connects the people who protect our lives. Lynq’s instant-on, scalable, and secure networks are used by first responders, government agencies, and enterprises for whom reliable communications is a life-or-death requirement. When seconds count in complex environments with no or unreliable connectivity, organizations critically depend on Lynq to connect people and their equipment.

Who You Are

With a growing demand for applications of our network, the team behind our core platform development is expanding. The most fascinating applications of our network are yet to be built, and to make that happen, we need a distributed network architect that helps us take our platform into the next level.

You’ll be joining the team that has built our network from the ground up and that is constantly exploring and expanding the capabilities of our network. You will provide strong technical leadership for the team in balancing competing parameters such as bandwidth, topology, latency, security, and resilience in the framework of customer use cases.

As the key technical leader to our engineering team, you’ll drive R&D efforts with the engineering team and involved in market qualification and roadmap discussions with the leadership team. As the Lynq platform evolves you’ll be tasked with designing the architecture required to scale our systems in its diverse set of applications.

You have:

  • MS/PhD Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
  • 15+ years (4-6 product cycles) of proven experience building distributed network architecture and hardware specifications with various industry protocols such as LoRA, BLE, Mesh, 6LoPAN, etc. for enterprise (B2B) applications.
  • Deep knowledge of RF, data transport protocols and internet protocols such as MQTT, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTPS, CoAP, XMPP, L2/L3 protocols, and DDS.
  • Desire to conduct research and development on new protocol development, new data services, competing trade offs of certain network parameters.
  • Ability to develop simulations and new protocols from the ground up and optimize algorithms across the stack.
  • It’s a plus if you have a strong understanding of low power network architectures (trade off of low power and architecture) network security and power management for low power applications.
